Wonderfully understated restaurant. A place to return to and try every item on the menu. I had a seafood pasta today. I tried the anchovies appetizer, which was amazing. Quite good. The owner and her husband are such sweet hosts, very kind, generous, and attentive.
Small Italian restaurant. The food was exquisite and they brought out bread and oil for an appetizer. The service was great as well. Very reasonably priced.
Total gem. I never miss this place when I’m in town. Handmade, authentic, and just excellent!!! Super small place but they’ll take great care of you.
Pretty delicious here. It's a hidden gem and I had an enjoyable time. Kicked it off with the squid appetizer - 4/5. The salad with the cheese wasn't bad, but I'm not a big fan of cheese - 3.5/5. As for the actual entree, I ordered the pasta with sausage. The portion was a decent size, but if you're hungry, you'll want to order more - 4.5/5. The linguine with the clam/mussels was surprisingly delicious 4/5. The tiramisu wasn't bad for dessert. I'd return here again if I were craving italian. The owner/manager was very social, the staff were friendly, and the food was good. Make sure to book a reservation in advance.
The food was delicious and the people were great! Ask for recommendations, but everything my group ordered was fantastic! From ravioli, to pizza, to cannoli, lemon cake, and terra misuse- all amazing! It feels like they allowed us into their Italian home. We sat beside a table of regulars and it was awesome to see the camaraderie.
Authentic Italian! Wonderful food and service. It's a tiny spot with only about 11 seats downstairs and a few more up. Reservations suggested.
Delicious, quaint , with a friendly and fun atmosphere. Perfect for a casual yet intimate date night.
Quant cafe style location. Lively hosts and delicious food. The rib eye was great.
One of my favorite places in the city. Always a great time when I visit. Very limited seating, with some outdoors if you enjoy that. Menu had both standard Italian fare and some interesting items, as well as some very good desserts. I always get something from the specials lost and am never disappointed. Very limited seating, again, so be prepared to deal with that. Outstanding service. The space is a bit old, and feels that way at times compare to a new age chic restaurant, but I prefer the old feel. I can't recommend this place highly enough.
Ok so. I ordered the chicken scaloppini with gnocchi and it was incredible. I love and have sample a lot of Italian, authentic and otherwise. The balance of creaminess with lemon was perfect. They put this great purple cabbage on top that I initially thought was a mistake until I tried it - added to the dish perfectly. Its very small and charming inside so don’t come with more than 3 people, but come for an evening split a bottle of wine and enjoy! Everything looks good!
Food is amazing. Service as well, but you got to learn the italian ways, otherwise it may seem a little rude at times. Would recommend and come back.
The fresh pappardelle pasta with venison Bolognese was stunning as was the chef's salad of the day with shaved radicchio, fennel, arugula, and vinaigrette. I felt like I was sitting in a Paris or Rome cafe at this tiny but charming spot with old-world style waiters and perfection in flavor and presentation of their cappuccino.
Phenomenal! Delicious and friendly service.
Had a crazy/fun dinner here with an old friend. We had the whole shebang -- wine, appetizers, mains, tiramisu to share. It's a tiny place with a very attentive staff and more upscale dishes than I expected. It is a little on the pricey side, but worth it. The staff is great to chat with and really Italian.
Fabulous food, very authentic. Staff was extremely courteous and very attentive. Would recommend to family and friends alike, over and over again. Will be back!!!
Great Italian restaurant. Small seating area is good for east coasters who are hungry before West coasters.
My niece from New Zealand is visiting and asked to go to my favorite restaurant. Caffe' Macaroni has been my favorite for over twenty years. Mario and his wife, Stephanie, create a very happy atmosphere in this homey small space. It's really quite remarkable how complete strangers can sit close to each other, and enjoy a chat with their neighbors (if they're so inclined!) The food is five star. Mario's specialty is Napolitano cuisine. He orders only high quality fish, shellfish and meats. I recommend the ling cod over pasta piccante, linguini with clams and the Pappardelle Alla Ragu' di Venison.
They're nice with people. The place is quite small but good and relaxing. Food is good. Their meatballs are really huge! I love their ravioli :) it seems like is not enough but I feel stuffed. They also serve sliced bread with something that looks like oil with chopped garlic, parsley and maybe chili. Really good.I'm sorry for the picture of the bread. I was hungry and ate almost all of it...
